Mom woke us all up with breakfast sandwiches that had sourdough toast, egg, ham, white cheese, and love. YUM! The boys were instantly up and out of bed for those! The rounds of showers then began!
Leah and I went in a taxi to the mall on Henry street where she got me the new boots you see in the picture above. My black boots were so dead my left big toe stuck out of a hole in them! I immediately threw the old ones away int eh store and left with the new ones on! We walked around a but more and headed to Forever 21 where we planned to meet the rest of the crew that walked instead of taking the tax (Bronte and I's plan to get the boys to be walkers is working!!!)
I ran into Bronte, and she said the boys (Tanner and Trevor) were at the toy store across the street! Who's idea was it to let them do that! We collected them and shopped around some more with gram! We all picked up a few things, the mall was huge!
It was around 2:00 and we needed o get home so Leah and I took a taxi back home while the others walked back. The tax driver gave is recommendation number two. He said to go to the Cobblestone bar just down the street from us that had authentic Irish bands play every night!
we were all back besides my parents, and we were all hovering around the snacks, ravenous. Mom and dad went to a thrift store part of town, near the trinity college. Mom walked in the door with Pho and fried rice. Mom for the win again on food! We chowed and headed over to the Jameson Distillery! We had bought tickets for the 3 o clock time slot earlier this morning for the tour. We got a stranger to take our picture out front and then headed in with one minute to spare! The tour started out with a video that was staged during the time of the creation of the Jameson whiskey brand, and gave information on how the process worked. After the video, we walked through a scaled down version of what the old distillery looked like. The new one that produces the Jameson to be bottled is in Cork. We saw what the store room would look like, how the malting process works, how fermenting works, and how the triple distillation works. I definitely learned a lot! It was an interesting tour! Trevor and Joe got to taste different whiskeys from the world and learn how to taste them correctly; they also got taster certificates.. congrats! LOL! There is so much more to be explained, but words just dentine do justice! I tried to post some pictures on Facebook.
We took advantage of the gift store and then headed home! We hung out for a bit, watched the new Walking Dead (I can't believe we didn't watch it immediately on Monday!)
Being Monday, a lot of places were closed by dinner time, so we 'settled' with the headquarters, Oscars. We got a lot of rounds of wings, smoked chicken with brie over bread, stir fry noodles, and drinks of course! Our eyes were bigger than our stomachs based on the 5 boxes of leftovers we have in the fridge now!
After dinner we headed over to The Cobblestone. It was a bar with an Irish band in the corner, not singing, but playing traditional Irish music! The woman on violin played so beautifully! We shared some guinness and enjoyed the evening! Mom, Dad and Leah went home a little early, Bronte an trevor went on a walk, and Joe, Tanner and I were left at the bar to finish up some beers before wandering home! Again, Nutella was part of the evening, with some funny shows blog writing! Dad went to the bar again for sparkling water... the people at Oscar's will soon know us well!
Night all! love you!
