Bronte andTrevor stayed back in Schull, here is Julian's note:
(Julian was the caretaker of the storehouse in Schull)
Hi Jenay,
Well I hope you are all enjoying Co Galway (I’ve never been there !!) and Bronte said you were staying in castle - how grand !! Bronte and Trevor will appreciate it anyway after enduring an evening in my rather chaotic and not very well house-kept abode here in Rossbrin Cove , but yet we had a passable dinner and of course I hugely enjoyed their company and all they had to say about America and other matters.
Today they had a nice walk to the Castle here, then I took them out in the launch to see the seals etc out on the islands offshore , after which we landed for a quick pub lunch in Schull (The Bunratty) which was enjoyed , then zipped back to leap into Fiona Yorke’s car for the spin up to Kinsale, from whence they can get a quick bus into Cork. They will have arrived in Kinsale at about 4.30 pm so should get a 5pm bus to Cork so may be able to get an earlier train than originally anticipated out of Cork. I think Fiona was more in favour of getting the coach which she said was just as quick and a bit cheaper. However I don’t know of course what B and T will be doing exactly so maybe they will contact you somehow en route.
MANY thanks for the lovely bottle of red wine which is MUCH appreciated, though undeserved and quite unnecessary. You are most kind. Secondly, I found a E 50 note with the bottle which I presume was for Lizzie the cleaner/housekeeper ? I’ll make sure she gets it anyway. Thirdly I found your wonderful multi-authored note to Angela, which I will send over to her in UK and I know she will be delighted. It is such a shame that your stay here was so brief – but at least B and T saw it all in the sunshine at last. It was simply glorious today !
Anyway have a grand end to your European holiday and it was delightful meeting you all, and I do hope you will return at some point. Please ask Trevor to bring his helicopter and can show me the views of RoaringWater Bay that other beers can’t reach !!
Julian
